I resigned from a an autonomous society under one of the central government departments last year and set up my own training institution. The society follows Contributory Provident Fund and has a trust of its own. I made a request for final settlement of my CPF and even after 6 months they are yet to release. Meanwhile they are now saying that my pay fixation was wrongly done earlier and some money has to be recovered from me and so they are holding the settlement of my CPF. Please let me know if they can hold my CPF and if not what action I can take to get the CPF settlement done.
