My father is missing since 1997 and recently somebody told me that if a person is missing for 7 years, law declare him dead.
Please suggest me how to proceed further if it is true

you have to show the police complaint, reporting to media and news papers cuttings at the time of missing and produce the same at Revenue officer for granting death certificate.
