This will come under accident hence IPC 279 and 304A would be applicable besides any other law if the police would add.

There is an old Legislation "The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960", but it is a a joke, considering the penalties imposed by the Act. Considering the endangered spices in many parts of the States in this country, it will be good to have a fresh look on this Act of 1960.
