My grandfather had purchased a freehold property in Delhi in 1959 and then by a deed of settlement transferred it to my father in 1962. My father then appointed my grandfather as his power of attorney holder. Over the years my father fought various cases with MCD in his capacity as the owner of the property. My grandfather died in 1994 and the MCD was duly informed. In a property tax related case in 2003 the lawyeer accepted in the court that property was mutated in the name of my father during the lifetime of my grandfather. My father expired in 2007. we applied for the mutation of property in my mothers name in 2008 and now the MCD is claiming that the property was never mutated in the name of my father and asking for mutation letter if any. Now we dont have any records of 60s and 70s what should we do. Can the MCD now dispute what it has accepted in a court of law.
