Divorce

One year ago one of my aunt's son got married. he got married on jan 2016 and the girl belongs to nagercoil. she did not want her husband to talk with his parents. and she says that he should not provide them with money. she left house. she complained in police station to give her jewels. the husband side and her family never objected. the inspector said to return her jewels. later on request on one of senior lawyers of court the jewels were handed and legal document was created for the amount to be given has maintenance. qafter a year i mean on jan 2017, the petition was taken for consideration on nagercoil sub court. plaintiff (husband) filed the petition on grounds of cruelty. after a set of procedures , a cross examin was there for plaintiff . senior was trying to compromise and settle the matter. he spoke for both sides. later he said that the plaintiff should give maintenance to defendant. after that only the opposite part advocate would cross examine the petitioner. on his request we accepted and on same day we created a legal document which mentioned about the amount to be given as maintenance(one time settlement). it was signed by 2 witness, one from each side. then only crioss examination was done for plaintiff. next enquiry date is given for defendant. 1. my question is exparte judgement valid in case of divorce? 2. we have already given maintenance in a stamp paper. so can she again claim maintenance again? 3. what is the next procedure after her cross examine?
