Divorce

Hello everyone!

Its about divorce! My husband and myself got married under the shariah law.The marriage took ugly turns and finally I'm working in a metro with my son.He was least bothered about my absense and hence life went on for the next two years. Finally, I realized that this marriage has reached the dead end and he wants to get married again.I called him up for a mutual consent divorce. He said ok and we decided amicably. He gave two talaq's and then before the third talaq. He came to meet me and asked for my sign on the so called " acceptance letter".I read the letter which stated that i accept all his three talaq's and i dont want any maintanence.I have taken all amounts and dowry and things given for the marriage.I wont ask for any legal properties or claim alimony. He started threatening me and forcing me to sign the paper. He also knew that Im going to UK for higher studies and threatened he will file a divorce case and wont let me go abroad. The fees has been paid..

1.Can i go abroad even if he/myself files a divorce case?

2.He threatened me and verbally abused me over the phone for not signing the document? Can i make a complaint against him (I didnt record the conversation).

1. You can give power of attorney to someone and make him attend court proceedings on your behalf.

2. There is no use filing criminal complaints that you cannot prove in the eyes of law.
