Divorce by mutual consent

I am filing for a divorce by mutual consent in pune court

My questions are

1) Is it compulsary for counselling in cases of mutual consent

2) Do the couple have to stay together in the 6 month cooling of period.

1. NO. Court can grant immediate divorce based on valid documents like Petition etc showing proof of irreconcilable differences.

2. Even in the worst case court does not grant immediate divorce, couple are not required to stay together.
