Divorce in case of suicide threats from wife

Please help me in following case.

Relationship between me and my wife was ok till the starting of this year. earlier we used to have fights but I always used to avoid stretching matter. Recently we have started having serious fights. She even got violent many times. every time she would threaten me to commit suicide. She has stopped cooking food, i have deployed one maid at home for food. off lately she tried to commit suicide twice. After that I called her family members. They have also started blaming me & threatening me of police complaints. She had even gone to my office & embarrassed me there. Now I m getting her treated by a psychiatrist as I feel she has gone mentally unstable. I cannot leave her right now as i feel her mental condition is not good to take this shock. what if she again tries to commit suicide. Her family members are continuously threatening me & I am not even going to office. I am stuck here.

But now I don love her anymore & I do not want to be with her. They have clearly said she wont give divorce.  But I want to file for divorce. Should I wait till her treatment is over. Is there any chance that I can get divorce from her as she is refusing to give?

Dear Querist

First of all, you should try to save the marriage and settle the matter amicably.

if not possible then there is no other option except the divorce, then you may file a divorce petition against her u/s 13(1)(ia) of Hindu Marriage Act.

Record all her threats and make a police complaint against her for suicidal tendencies and threats keep the receiving with you , if you don't want to live with her then file divorce on the ground of mental cruelty u/s 13(1)(ia) of hindu marriage act in the family court .
