DV case is criminal in nature, quasi criminal.  It totally depends on your otherwise good fate if you dont attend and court wont issue warrant for you failing to appear in court hall on the said date.

I suggest, that inspite you have a lawyer to attend the case dates, your presence is much required in court hall.

Magistrates are usually leniant towards woman/females, do not be surprised if a warrant/NBW be issued in your name as wel as co-accused name for not attending court date.

DV cases are quasi criminal in nature, yes your presence in all court hearings is compulsary failing on this court can issue NBW against you .

DV and 498A (though bailable)are criminal cases and the accused has to present himself or through a lawyer in the proceedings.
