Don't want a divorce.

Hi, I am married for 15 years and have 10 year old daughter. We were living in usa for 12 years. We moved to India 3 years ago and are staying with my inlaws for 3 years. I am having hard time staying with my in laws. I tried to convince my husband about staying separately from my in laws, but he doesn't agree. So I decided to stay with my parents, but I don't want divorce from him. I am scared that if I live separately from him for more that a year he will file for divorce. Is there a law by which I can oppose the divorce and still be married to him.

If a wife stays away from her husband WITHOUT HAVING ANY REASONABLE CAUSE for more than two years, the husband can file divorce petition on the ground of desertion.  If you want to stay away from your husband, the reason for that should be reasonable in the eyes of law.
