sir,

Kistbandi means a statement of  tax due on land on different periods and amounts. It is a written document of rules.

N.K.Assumi (Advocate)     23 September 2008

As pointed out by Shree, it varies from region to region, however in general terms,It is  a written agreement to pay the assessment on the land to the Government or a zamindar. It is also used as a patta granted by the zamindar as a titke deeds to the  tenant. Kabuliyat by its name implies mere acknowledgement, an engagement by the tenant to carry out the term of the patta. Kistbandy means the written notice in which the date on which the kist or dues are stated.Kist mean an installments of the rent payable by a person cultivating the land.
