Dear all,
A is 65 years old and a retd. govt. servant. He got married some 30 years back. They have 3 children. After 30 years of marriage his wife filed a dowry case.
Is there any limitation for filing such cases?
Can anybody let me know if there are any rulings in this regard.

If it is dowry harassment case, it can be filed within 3 years from the date of demand. It may be noted dowry demand coupled with harassment can happen at any point of time during the matrimonial life. If it is only a demand bereft of harassment Sectin 498-A is not attracted.
