Recently I heard about one person hoe have his name in voter list at 2 different place. And his wife also have name at both the same places. Actually his is adopted in his child hood and residing at his adopted fathers place and his and his wifes name is there in the voter list. And at this place hi uses his adopted fathers name. But he also have his name at his real fathers place following his real father name as father and his wife has also have name at this place but with different name. Exp. At first place her name is X and at 2nd place is Y following with her husband name.
Is this possible?

what action can govt. can take?
what will be punishment for this kind of fraud with govt.?
