A colleague has gone abroad with permission after getting sanctioned Earned leave from a Government of India organization. He had to continue abroad and hence applied for extension of leaves. There were no leaves at his credit after sometime. But he could join back duty after about one year of exhausting all his leave. The Management has later granted Extra Ordinary Leave (EOL) by settling his absence period. Can anyone kindly tell, what would be the effect of the EOL granted to him (obviously without medical certificate) on his service, viz-a-viz, seniority, pension and other service matters
