Epfo pension and legal remedy

Legal remedy and EPFO Pension

0n 28/2/2014, the Finance ministry of Government of India, approved a proposal to ensure Rs 1,000 minimum pension under Employees' Pension Scheme-95 will immediately benefit about 28 lakh pensioners including five lakh widows

On 28/4/2014, additional PF commissioner Mr. V Vijayakumar stated that the hike of pension to Rs 1,000 a month was likely to be implemented once the elections were over. It is likely to be given with a retrospective effect from April, 2014

On 2/6/2014, "The previous government's decision to ensure a minimum monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to subscribers of Employees' Pension Scheme-95 (EPS-95) will be implemented this week as elections got over now. The Labour Ministry will notify it some time this week," an official source told PTI.

But till now there is no whisper about this. Elite senior citizens should ponder over as to whether there is any legal remedy to ensure that the commitment of the central government is carried through without any further delay
