Ex-partie divorcee query

My friend filled divorcee petition in madurai court. opposite party not appear in the court. She shifted her residence without intimation. So far, all the court notices returned "Reason LEFT" . But judge again and again send private notice only (more than 15 times) since 2014. Any limitation period - for private notice?.

Your lawyer can request for substituted service in 2 newspaper(1english and 1 regional) and if there is no response you can ask court to award ex parte decree

you had failed to inform grounds for divorce,If you friend can find out her current address  through her relatives and take new process in the new address, substituted service is always available, before that all options should be explored to get expartie divorce degree.

Even if you get new address and notice returns, then only option is newspaper notification as said above, then proceed exparte.  Your lawyer has wasted time without proceeding for exparte.  See if he gets paper notification done, or else change lawyer.

There are options to get exparte divorce also, be in touch with your lawyer about it.
