expedition petition

dear sir /madam

I would like to get knowledge on the process of expedition petition ,I want to use it to expedite the PWDVA Case filed on me and my family members, as the wife is hell bent on dragging the case endlessly ,the said case is jammed at the evidence stage of wife, from past 12 hearings by the lady(petitioner).
I have filed my counter affidavit,
The ladys' lawyers just ask for next date on one pretext or another, and get it.
The case makes me travel for 2nights every week.
Do kindly throw some light on how do I proceed on the same.

You can have two options

1. to file an advance hearing petition before the same court to hear the case

2. To get a direction from the High Court directing the trial court to dispose of the case within a time frame fixed by the High Court

In addition to opinion expressed by exerts above, I suggest not to come present on each and every hearing as no personal presence of you in required in such cases. Your counsel can atten hearing on your behalf and I think if you adopt this process, the opposite party shall try to get the case decided at the earliest. Might be opposite party teasing and harassing you.
