False identity

I rceived a mail from a person claiming to be a customer of our company asking for some clarifications and making allegations on some of our employees. We found no such cutomer exists in our records. Nothing illegal in the mail except some wild allageations.  May be he didn;t want to disclose his identity and used some name and claimed as our customer.

Will this act constitute a crime under cyber laws?

You are at Liberty to investigate or ignore it. That Person helped you to be careful, and there can be few facts unknown to ur Company. It is communicated only to you and not to public. So no offence.
