Hello!
Has SC made it clear in any of its judgements whether females can be made respondents in DV petition? If so, kindly attach the judgement.
Different HC have diff. openion about this.
On same lines, whther its prospective or retrospective act? Has SC clarified or not?

In the case of Sou. Sandhya Manoj Wankhade Appellant Vs. Manoj Bhimrao Wankhade & others Respondents, decided on 1/31/2011, the SC has held that women can be made Respondents in DV cases. I do not have the text though.
