Filing of vakalat

Dear Sir,

I have enrolled my name in Bar Council of Telangana on 08-07-2023 and I wrote AIBE 18 exam on 10-12-2023 and awaiting results.

My question is Can I file Vakalat in Court  now or I need to wait till I got Certificate of Practice.

Please clarify.

You have already enrolled as an advocate hence you can very well start practicing law irrespective of the status of AIBE as of now.

Vakalatnama is a written document submitted before a court by a lawyer/solicitor/advocate/counsel declaring that his clients have authorised him to represent them in a legal proceeding. Vakalatnama is also referred to as a 'Vakil Patra' in colloquial terms.
As per the query
No ,you cannot file the vakalat you should wait for the result as soon as a result declares ,you can file a ‘vakalat’
Because ones the result declares it would be cleared that you have auceed to crack the exam .and once you cleared the exam you can file for the vakalat .
If you wish to file it now ,you can also file but it would good once the result declares.

Vakalatnama is an official document submitted before to the court of law for legally represeting an Individual. In your case to what i understand you have cleared your LLB and also have written AIBE but yours results are not out and asking can you file vakalatnama, In this case

Yes, you can. As you have already cleared your LLB and hope by now you should have enrolled for the State Bar council.Post your LLB you have 2 years time to finish your AIBE to continue your practice. In the inital period BAR council of the state would issue a Provisional-COP with your LLB degree by which you can practice for 2 years and within that period you have finish the AIBE and then BCI would get you the extended COP which would be valid for life long until you cancel it or it is canceled due to odd means.

If your State enrollmet has not expired that is 2 years has not happened from the time ogf state registeration you are eligible to file vakalatnama and in case 2 years have expired then you need to wait for AIBE and post you get a COP from BCI then only you would be eligible to practice or File vakalatnama
