My father had purchased a flat on july 1995 in Mumbai and paid the respective stamp duty as on that date under amnesty scheme but did not do the registration. Now we want to register it so what would be the procedure for that?

If u r not registration document at that time and now today u r ready for registration so today u will be pay a actual stamp duty (now running) and registration fee for that.

Thank you for your reply sir but i dont understand why we have to again pay stamp duty only registration fees is not enough??

No, U r pay a Stamp duty as per today's Government Rate.
