My wife and I (both Senior Citizens) live in an Apartment in Pune (in a Condominium having only 6 apartments in the premises). The Sale Deed of our apartment is registered in the name of my wife. Since this is a condominium, there is no facility of nomination of the apartment (unlike in a Society) in the unfortunate event of the owner passing away.
We wish to get my name included as a Joint owner of the apartment, or at least have the nomination done in my favor, so that the ownership is not in question, in the event that I outlive her. What would be recommended as the best and most economical way to do this?
