When there is understanding in between payee and drawer of the cheque through compromise on a mode of acceptance, both can file such agreement and the payee can withdraw the case.   When case proceedings are running in a court, the drawer (the person that issued cheque) can only make his submissions and seek time for payment of such amount, and establish his real intentions.   It is up to the court to decide further course.  When the issue is on recovery, Courts seldom takes serious action. when drawer makes such payment.
