Does the GPA that was executed contains a clause wherein the sale rights are delegated to the son in absence of the executor ?.

secondly is the GPA registered ?

If the possession is also delivered along with full sale consideration paid to principal and the GPA is regd, the LR's of deceased principal cannot claim the property.

But to execute a perfectly valid sale deed by your father in favour of prospective purchasers, the deed may be executed by your father along with the LR's of deceased principal.
