help with divorce

Hi, I badly want to divorce my wife as we always fight and I don't think this will change in the future. Also pls don't ask me why but I happened to record a conversation between my wife and her mother and I was in a complete shock when I heard how they feel about my parents and my family. They talked so cheaply that I cannot even look at my wife. With me she always says that she has no problems with my family but its all lies. I cannot get this out of my head and I have to get a divorce. Us fighting is one thing I could tolerate but someone talking sh*t abt my family is something I cannot tolerate. Please advise me on how to handle this situation. Should I just go ahead and tell her about the conversation I recorded and just ask for a divorce for lying to me? Would I be in legal trouble for the fact that I recorded a private conversation in which I'm not part of? We both live in USA now.

You should talk with your wife regarding this in private and know her intentions.

They surely feel that you are third class people and are b*tching about you on your back.

I cannot get this out of my head and I have to get a divorce.

Ask her to give divorce under MCD, and tell her that you wont pay her a penny.

Yes, I can relate to that.  But divorce is not that easy in the getting.

Please advise me on how to handle this situation.

Want divorce?  Talk to wife, make her agree for mutual consent divorce, ie MCD.  She agrees, well n good.  She wont agree, directly file divorce in court if 1 year is over.  If 1 year not over, wait till 1 year is over, as 1 year minimum time for filing for divorce.

Dont tell about recording, but tell her that you overheard her conversation with her mom,
