Hi all,
I am an IT professional working with a BPO company as a System Administrator. Is it possible for me to work independently as an IT service provider while working with my current job? If so, please kindly let me know the legal prospects and procedure of registering for the same.

The question of your independent work as a service provider largely depends on the employment contract with your current employer. Usually there are clauses in the contract restricting your job as independent contractor. In absence of the contract it is difficult to advise.
