Talk to her directly or through relatives and convince her.

I did talk to her, parents, relatives....but no help...she still threatens with suicide.

First decide husband willing to divorce her then come to conclusion whther to give divorce or not. The woman laws in India are favoured to woman. That there is chance of registred dowry case against husband still he refused to give divorce. So solve the dsputes amicable manner.

False allegation as the question is self Contradictory. Is the husband bothered about his wife's life or her savings?

can one register a dowry case, if there are proofs that wife has all savings of husband?
Shivaji Rao (worker) 09 November 2011
@Randhir: do not think it is self contradicting...not sure why we can not stop wife from suicide and also get husbands savings...we are not talking about wife's savings.

can wife file dowry case even after 7 years of marriage?
Shivaji Rao (worker) 09 November 2011
looks like laws in india are so female biased....males absolutely have no say.
Stridhan is something which wife and/or her parents provide during marriage right? how can they claim that was stridhan when they provided nothing during marriage.
sridhar pasumarthy (ADVOCATE) 09 November 2011
Dear Marnisatish,
Yes, divorce can be applied for after completion of 7 years of marriage. But, application cannot be filed before expiration of one year of marriage subject to an exception in case of excessive hardship.
you have rightly pointed out. It does not amount to Stridhana.
It appears that you are suppressing the fact that you need a solution to recover your savings from ur wife.
If so, you can ask your question straight away. Nobody can stop you.
Shivaji Rao (worker) 09 November 2011
@sridhar: I am not suppressing any facts here. All I want is my savings back and I do not want to see any one commit suicide.
I feel a person does not threaten to commit suicide unless there is a wrong motive.
if anyone wants to commit suicide, they will do without informing anyone.
suicide threats have been happening since a year.
how can one fight the case in India without having to go to court as husband stays in USA? is this practical?
