i want to marry my romanian girlfriend....

I am an Indian citizen from Assam and i am going to marry my romanian girlfriend in india.but i am little bit confuse as to where we should marry,as we are going to settle in Romania after marriage My girlfriend wants to marry in delhi and apply visa there in the embassy,but i was told that we couldnt marry in delhi as it is not my home state.we can marry only in guwahati local register office . so i would like to know whether we can marry in Delhi and whether it would be better for me to go to romania on tourist visa n marry her their.. I would really appriciate if any body can guide me and give me some good advises...thank you in advance

Not sure why your romanian girl friend wants to marry in Delhi.

May be she is well aware of Indian marital law that is gender biased towards women.

I think you better marry her in Romania itself as you are going to settle there.
