In response to your query,

These are the following documents required for granting the bail-

  • Bail application
  • Id proof of the person executing it
  • Id proof of the surety giving guarantee for the person
  • Demand draft or cheque for the sum to be paid for the bond
  • Property papers in case a property is being charged for the purpose of furnishing the bail bond and tax return receipts
  • Declaration by the surety or sureties
  • Letter of undertaking

The surety must provide for the offender's application for a bail bond undertaking. He must also be confirmed that he is not insolvent and that he has sufficient assets to enable and stand surety. He must also declare as an indemnitor that he is aware of the conditions under which the bail bond is executed and that he guarantees that the conditions are met on behalf of the criminal. The execution of bail is thus completed at the police station after signing the required forms and paying the bond money.

Therefore the address proof may not be required as the Id proof should definitely contain the address details for granting bail.

Aryan Raj
