Mr. Sudhir Kumar,  Mr. Kalaiselvan, Mr. Chandrasekhar, Mr. Joshi have appropriately advised.

I have replied to this e-mail stating that I do not want anything. Also in the e-mail it was written Are they willing to sponsor? Subsequent e-mails from my elders had clearly stated before divorce petition that we do not want a penny we are showing you picture that you are given so much support then why create trouble in the family when only two of you are living together in India and we come once in a while to India.

My elders had to show her real picture and I had to calm both parties down so I replied on their e-mail that I do not want anything all I need is close door talk so that this relationship doesn't end. They took 1 crore as dowry demand and now dancing on that. They cannot even help one lakh which even they know very well but they think NRI family can pay money so let's do business in the name of marriage. I have all the e-mails in which my elders subsequently told both of us that we do not need anything just live separately in a rental apartment. NOTE: All these e-mail exchanges happened after my wife had left home forever but she claims that we used to ask dowry from first day of marriage for which she has no proof. With microsoft outlook anyone send e-mail address as someone else so technical side also they have to prove. I know very well that I am not going to leave this battle. During counselling also I have told her that I do not want anything just come back. But She is demanding money.

Mr. Sudhir kumar's arguments have pointed out certain facts regarding the way someone can interpret e-mails and I have a lot of other e-mails after which first e-mail in which I each of my family members in India and abroad have mentioned that we do not want money. We are letting you know that in current inflation one has to be patient and let things settle. It gave me a good idea to prepare for a fight. Thanks once again to all experts.

I guess if husband says "Kya iska paisa tera baap dega ? " to wife then for an indian law it is called dowry.

I guess if husband says "Kya iska paisa tera baap dega ? " If this is said as a consideration for marriage continuation [i.e. wife sent back or tortured until her father compensates financial loss. It is dowry demand. In any case it is domestic violence as the comment is unjustified and humiliating and certainly intended to cause mental anguish to any woman.
