Is it valid to have notice period in work from jobs?

I got a full-time work from home job. It means I don't have to go to office. The company has provided appointment letter, which mentions 1 month notice period. Is having notice period valid in work from jobs? Your input is much appreciated.

Hello Sumit!

In giving any job there has to be a certainity for the employer that the employee will remain with his/her company for sometime and not leave it in a day or so. Because the company would be undertaking projects based upon its employee force only. Else company will face problem to complete the assignment if the employees leave the work immediately or in a day or two.

Hence, notice period in work from home is not excluded.
