The facts posted by you are:
-You have been in employment and have received salary for the entire period from the month of June 2005 to till date.
-When you join a new employer, employer is duty bound to provide you various Hr forms e.g. PF, Gratuity etc to comply with its statutory obligations and submit these forms to the concerned authorities in specified time. Employer has to deduct employee's contribution towards epf a/c and add employer’s contribution to it for each month of salary paid by it.
You have submitted your previous PF number to each new employer and PF contributions have been transferred to new a/c, of new employer.
-You can study your PF accumulation reports for each year.
-You can study salary slip of each month for the entire period of your service (if you have) and check if employee's PF contribution was deducted from your salary. If it is so you’re a/c should be regular. Kindly make it a habit to keep salary slip in your record.
-You can write to each employer and ask them if they deducted employee's PF contribution and added employer's Pf contribution for each month of your service or missed it for any month. Please mention your Emp. Code number and PF number and your current address and seek reply in writing and by redg/speed post only. If you feel you can enclose postage prepaid, self addressed envelope.
-You can enquire from EPFO under RTI, quoting PF number issued to you in each company you have worked with. Their reply shall be an authentic one and shall be held lawful. If there is anomaly noted by you as per your record, in their reply, you should get it corrected.
It is good that you are vigilant. If your PF a/c is regular without any break after 10 years you shall be eligible for pension. Moreover your epf a/c accrues interest almost equal to or better than banks (looking into increase and decrease in rates). You can withdraw from pension a/c in the hour of need. We have been strongly suggesting that epf a/c should be maintained.
Kindly revert with details. Your feedback shall help many who visit the forum.
