Is playing sports a fundamental right ?

Are participating in sports a fundamental right of an indiavidual which cannot be taken away, also not allowing a sportsman in taking part in his sport infringment of Article 19(1)(g) i.e. right to choose profession. Kindly explain with judicial precedents.

Thanks in advance.

If a shooter is not granted permission to carry ammunition in airport by the government will that be infringement of his fundamental right under Article 19(1)(g).

1.  SPORTS is  "NOT" a profession, by any means.

2.  SPORT is  "NOT"  any type of Fundamental right.

No. It will not and never be infringment. Mr. Nayar, Please refer Article 19(2) which are reasonable restrictions. No one can take thier shooting gun directly from Air Port as it is against security. In India, there is some other arrangments for carrying special baggage i.e. fire arms. You cannot skip this procedure. You can use this procedure to carry shooting gun with you.
