Is single mother a natural guardian for her kid

Hello Everyone,

I am a single mother with a custody of my daughter with me. Now i want to change her middle name and surname which was at her birth and is continue till date.

At present she possess middle name of his father and their surname and i want to change it.

I want mother's name in middle and mothers surname and want that change in all her legal documents and School data as well.

Pl. guide me the process for the same

dear querist,

if you are legal cum natural gaurdian of your daughter then you dnt have to take consent of your husband for this and you can do this by filing simple declaratory suit in the civil court or registrar office,but if you are still not legally alloted the custody of the child then you cant do this ,feel free to call.
