What sort of establishment do you work in? Because if it is a factory under the Factories Act or some other establishment to which the act applies, women can't be made to work in the hours between sunset and sunrise. Hence, please mention where you work. Also if such substitution is allowed, you should be duly compensated for the extra shift with a reasonable number of hours for rest before the next shift, as well as relaxation in your overall employmen hours.

Look into State Shops & Estbs Act and rules framed under the Act.

You are in which state?

Has Manager communicated in writing?
