Labor inspector taking too much time!

Hello
I had filed a case against my company with labor department, the inspector is taking too much time to help get it resolved and is giving 1 month long date for hearing.

Do I have any other remedy except to wait.

As I don't want to go to Civil court.

Thanks

The frequency of dates given by any labour commissioner depends on his workload which not only is related to conduct hearing of cases (gratuity/ pay case) but also conciliation proceedings and other administrative jobs. From my personal experience I have seen most of the labour commissioners (in Kolkata and surrounding areas) give on an average 1 months time. So this is nothing unusual. Generally he does not want to drag the matter but compelled to give 1 months time as most of his earlier dates are booked. And presently consider this pandemic situation. Most of the offices are closed or working virtually to some extent. HAVE PATIENTS.

Waiting for court hearings depend upon court cases pending and in que before yours.
