Leave & license agreement query.

Hi,

I was unable to summit Leave & license agreement in the month of April 2012, due to unavailable of property owner & I was declaring 19,500/PM, now I’m making the agreement,

Could I prepare agreement period from 1^st April 2012 to 31^st Mar 2013 of rent amount 23,000/PM,or I need to prepare agreement period 1 Aug 2012 to 31^st july 2013,

Also my company would be considering HRA exemption from April 2012 to Mar 2013 or Aug 2012 to Mar 2013 of revised rent of Rs 23,000/PM.

Pls confirm.

The agreement can be retrispective - it can be done from April 2012 and also can be filed for IT benefits with HR. While you prepare agreement the date of agreement would be current - you need to mention that the agreement would be effective from 1st APril 2012 ....
