Your query is full of riddles. You may produce the relevant property papers before an experienced lawyer and get his opinion for all such further steps.

Has anyone approached court?

Koorchit is a valid form of partition which is equal to an oral partition of property.

It is not mandatory to register the 'Koor chit' hence unregistered koor chit is also legally valid.

However without knowing what case has been filed and by whom and what is the relief sought, it will not be possible to render any concrete opinion, hence it was advised to consult a local lawyer with all relevant documents pertaining to the property and obtain proper opinion and suggestion to move on

Can you please eleborate on the term "koorchit" which is not a legal connotation ?
