How long does it take to obtain divorce after legal separation??
Though i applied for divorce, judgement given was 'legal separation', for want of evidences. It was one year back, judgement was by family court.
Now i would like to take a divorce, how to proceed?
Should i approach higher court only, OR family court would suffice, since its already one year after legal separation. How long will it take to obtain divorce?
Pls. advice. Want an early divorce.

you should completed one year separation after that court will consider your divorce
after one year separation period court will ask you for reunion again you deny
the court will declare divorce.

The separation period is already over 8 years. I had filed for contested divorce, after a separation period of 6 years. But, Instead of exparte divorce i was given the judgement 'legal separation.
Reason mentioned was that the notice never could be served, as it got returned each time. And lack of evidence.
What evidence can be given for infidelity and emotional abuse??? that too after 7 years?
Now what is way i can get a divorce decree??? So that i will have option to remarry.
