Liability of late father in the case of inflated bsnl billl

Way back in October  2007 the land line my father had sprung a huge over two months to an amount of approximately 1,2 Lakh. (This was not downloaded by him - in those days there was no fixed IP address - so someone must have miss used the password)

There were a few communications that were exchanged and then there was no response from BSNL. We approached the Consumer court but at that time the Supreme court passed an order/judgement saying customers could not sue BSNL, therefore this was not persued.

Anyway, father paased away in September 2010 and now in I receive a Legal notice from BSNL.

What should I do?
