Limitation starts from the day when the opposite party denies the partition by metes and bounds.

can a partition suit be filed wrt one ancestral property when the partition has already been effected wrt all other ancestral properties many years back.

The law of limitation governs property division. The limitation term for filing a partition litigation is 12 years, according to the Limitation Act (Article 65 of the Limitation Act). The 12-year timeframe begins when the plaintiff or co-owners in the public domain are notified of the adverse claim. Adverse claim occurs when the claimant has a property interest in the financial asset and that right is infringed by others by holding, transferring, or dealing with the financial asset.

if the defendants name appears in the rtc since 30years then does it amount to being notified in public domain?
