Lesser said is better for conditions of cows in India. It's nothing more than a political tool and actually there is no concern for the cows.
Around Janmastami, all over Gujarat cows are released from animal shelter and released on the streets. Poor cows are loitering on the streets for food. They face vagaries of weather, risk being hit by a car or scooter. Some of them are old, injured and barely able to walk. The basic idea is to facilitate the Krishnabhakts to feed the cows. What a rediculious idea?
Can we file PIL in High Court to stop this practice? Why the cows be released on the street to satisfy religious sentiment of particular class of people and make poor animal suffer? Do you see any point in this annual practice? How can we actively do service to our so called mather rather paying a lip service.
Any bright ideas?
