Lok adalat registration

Dear Sir/s writing from Chennai. A wrote will for B, C, D and E. Again A wrote Codicil cancellation of E. All A to E are family members. B is the executer of will. After A death B, C, and D probate the will. E went to court. Subsequently case converted into TOS. All the parties came under compromise. Settled by lok Adalat and award passed. All parties are decided to sell the property. The purchaser asks to register the award.  It is compulsory to register or this is enough?  What is the way of register the Award? And how much percentage stamp duty to pay?
