Lost orginal document

Dear Sir/Madam

My Mother's property is in chennai (guduvancherry) which is in her name, she lost the original document. I have a copy of that document but there is a doubt in that  document;  my father's name was mentioned  as alias name not real name as such in the address proof or ID proof . Now she likes to transfer the property in my name (Son's name - settlement ). Is it possible to change with the copy of document from her name to my name? Please give an idea, how to solve this problem.

Example :

In the document mentioned as

Kalai W/O Kumar ( but real husband  name is  suresh), pet name  is kumar by which all relatives call at home.

Father's name : Suresh alias Kumar

Mother's name : Kalai

Son's name : Nirmal

Regards

Nirmal

Make an notary affidavit of your father name. Then Report the missing of your property document in the police station. Take the receipt copy from police and apply for new document of the property from the registrar office. Then your mother can transfer the property to your name.
