Marriage dispute

Dear All,

Request for a legal Advise and also whether the same can be sorted by Police.

I am a resident of Dubai and have a girl Child of 2 years old. There has been issuews for last 5 years of our Marriage and recently after we went down for vacation My wife has refused to return back.

She has deliberately kept the child away for over a month and blackmailing me in an emotional manner.

Her Mother has also not replied for all the emails sent to her and also I have no address or contact details as to where she is staying now.

I such case WHat can be done.

If I file for a Divorce case This would only complicate the matter further for me.

Is it possible to approach Police and take their help somehow . I would like some contacts in Hyderabd Police Dept.

What If she just keeps quite and does not do anything and stay away like this.

Dear Querist,

Whatever may be the disputes in your marriage, if your wife's demands are not met, you can expect her to try and implicate you and your family in a false dowry, that's happenning very often in India. If you have parents who are Indian residents the problem would be all the more compounded as that is where you are most vulnerable. You need to really make some confidential intimations expressing your apprehensions. Don't go in for a divorce right now. First build your fort - then take on the battle. Chances of permanent custody of the young girl child are also bleak at the moment, unless we can prove that mother's custody won't be conducive to the development of the child.
