Marriage registrtion

GOOD EVENING MY RESPECTED COLLEAGUES OF INDIA.

One of my relative married (second marriage) in a simple wedding ceremony at the bride's residence in front of few family members. The birde was a legal divorcee (more than 7 years and having a grown up son) and the groom's first wife and their only son's whereabouts are not known more than 15 years at the time of second marriage. Both are Hindus. (first marriage was not registered)

How to get their marriage registered as per the Hindu Marriages Act.

Kindly update me at your earliest.

Thanks to all of you.

Whether the ceremony was simple or grand doesnot matter, but the status of the bride and the groom does matter. Even if the whereabouts of the wife and son of the groom are not known, he still is in marriage with this lady and taking a second marriage is illegal for him. Hindu law does not permit such a marriage.

He could have applied for a divorce on this basis and cleared his status. Second marriage without proper divorce is not valid and the new wife cannot legally assume his lawfully wedded wife status. Registration of such marriage is also not possible.
