Mcd: property share

Hello Experts,

There are currently discussion going on for separation trhough MCD.

My wife and I have a joint property in Mumbai. Though I have been paying all the EMIs and society charges..the sad news is that I may have to part the property. My question to all th experts is this:

1. I believe that property should not be sold before the divorce decree is passed. Please let me know your opinion on this.

2. Once the property is sold, is there a way that I can avoid putting all the cash on her hand immediately after the property is disposed off or can I delay it with the intention of her not getting the cash easily?

Regards

@Manish: Sir, she has not contributed a single paisa either towards the EMI or any household expense. She has kept all the money for herself. She has been working andher salary is at par with me. This is the reason as to why I asked the question.

Anyways...please advise on what are the things to be kept in mind while selling the joint property? How should we decide the share?

If she is a 50 percent owner you will have to give her 50 percent.
