Money recover suit-urgent urgent

Hi All, I have deposited money some purpose in ‘A’ s account . but purpose is not full filled and ‘A’ is not giving money. A’s place is "X" and my place is "Y". money deposited through check and issued from ‘Y’s place bank. Please advise from where I can file Money recover suit and criminal case ? "X" place or "Y" place? Please advise.

First and foremost you have to send a legal notice. You must have some evidence that you paid him for hand loan etc. Simply cheque evidence is not valid. so send a legal notice. see his reply. they file the case

Hi , After sending legal notice,After how many days, we can file criminal and civil case on him? ( If I give one week time to reply to notice)? After one week if i dont get reply with in a week,after that, shall I file case on him? Please advise. Thanks for quick response.

A suit for recovery of money can be filed from your place itself, before that as advised, you may have to issue a mandatory legal notice demanding the amount and in case of his failure to comply with your demand within the stipulated time, you may proceed with the suit.

Hi Sir,If his is not responding to notice, Can I file Civil suit and criminal case : sec 420 & 406. on him? Please advise. Thanks for ur quick response.
