1.had someone not registered his name and address at the time of his funeral in the municipal corporation / nagar nigam branch office generally located in the crematorium area, when you had purchase wood for his funeral that time they see the receipt of nigam , try to find out that receipt if you will get it then after producing the same you can claim his death certificate from nigam office , if you didn't get the receipt and if you belong to a village then contact your village pradhan or live in a city then contact to chairman/mayor of your area and get it written in the letter head that shri ...........(name of your father) s/o shri ....(name of your grand father ) address ........expired on dated ....,try to make entry in the pariwar register or in the municipal / nigam office , then you will get his death proof .2. move an application in the name of tehsildar for legal heir certificate giving full detail regarding the death of your father and now you are only one legal heir , attached death proof of your father , address proof and an affadivit in support of your statement on oath , in this way you can transfer land in your name .
