NoC for tenant in Pune

Hi,

I am staying in rented apartment in Pune (Pimple Saudagar) and now shifting to my own house. I have been asked by society committe members to pay Rs.1000 for NoC.

This society is NOT yet registered either under RWA or under CHS.

This rule is made by committe member in this Covid situation.

I would to ask experts that is it legally valid for non-registered society to charge such amount only from tenant? If not, what can be done (under which rule) in this case before we shift out from this society?

Thanks in-advance

Prashant

1. An Unregistered Society /RWA is a illegal body and CANNOT demand any money from anybody, in any manner whatsoever.  It is a prosecutable criminal offence of extortion, intimidation, mischief, etc....

2. SERVICE CHARGES IN MAHARASHTRA HOUSING SOCIETY:

Service & Maintenance Charges, shall be charged EQUALLY on per Flat basis and not on per square feet basis.
